VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A Marquette native was recently recognized by a branch of the Armed Forces.
The Navy Expeditionary Combat Command named Eric Swenor its March Civilian of the Month for his contributions to manpower readiness for NECC forces. Swenor, who retired from active duty in 2012, serves the NECC as a subject-matter expert on Coastal Riverine Force manpower and unit structure.
Officials say he has been instrumental in a number of key manpower programs and initiatives. Swenor called it a great honor to be a small part of this command.
