ESCANABA — The weather has held off just enough to allow for fair mania in the U.P. to continue.

The U.P. State Fair is abundant with laughter and screams… whether you’re going backwards or upside down. Despite some questionable weather at times, this year’s state fair has left everyone smiling from ear to ear.

“It’s going awesome, we’ve sold a lot,” said Kirstin Kulikowski with Dodie Concessions, “we’ve been here for 35 years with Dodie Concessions so come out and see us right by the green stands.”
From slides and rides to a smorgasbord of food options there’s plenty to keep you and your family busy.

However for some, being hand fed all of your favorite tasty treats can be exhausting and prefer just to people watch. Tuesday night will conclude with a performance by American country singer Josh Thompson.

Special events continue all week long. To learn more about pricing, hours, and everything else about this year’s fair click here.

Fortunately, even with such a large turn out, those who attended didn’t get stuck in traffic for too long.
