U.P. Children’s Museum makes learning fun

At the U.P. Children’s Museum in Marquette, kids can’t learn without a little fun…and can’t have fun without a little learning. For example, on Thursday, April 11, 2013 as part of the Second Thursday Creativity Series, the focus is on Superheroes.  From 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., children of all ages and adults can join several NMU student science groups for a variety of fun, hands-on science activities. As always, there will be creative snacks, plus unexpected music and much more. The Superheros! event is free with museum admission or membership.

The Second Thursday events are sponsored by the Max & Phyllis Reynolds Foundation, Kohls and Culvers.

The museum also is having kids learn the value of a dollar by having a little fun with letting them have an opportunity to reduce the admission fee.  The week of April 14 – 20, $1 off admission is available to anyone who draws a flower and presents it to the museum staff at entrance to the facility.  April 21 – 27, $1 off admission is available to everyone wearing polka dots to the museum.  And, April 28 – May 4, anyone who “oinks like a pig” can save $1 on the price of admission.
