U.P. teacher in Lansing to talk education

An Upper Peninsula teacher was in Lansing Wednesday to discuss the Michigan Merit Curriculum.

Matt Ludwig, Director of Bands at Marquette Senior High School, gave testimony to the House Education Committee.  He was the guest of State Representatives Ed McBroom and John Kivela, who co-sponsor House Bill 4073.

The bill allows more flexibility in curriculum’s for students that are pursuing careers and interests other than attending college.
