ONTONAGON COUNTY — One driver sought her own treatment for minor injuries after a two-vehicle accident in Ontonagon County Tuesday evening.

Deputies from the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office say the incident happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of M-38 and US-45. 58-year-old Bonnie Picotte of Ontonagon was traveling west along M-38 in a 2005 Ford when the 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by 21-year-old April Harsvick of Ontonagon traveling northbound on US-45 collided with her at the intersection.

Picotte advised deputies that Harsvick’s Dodge either did not stop or was unable to stop on the snowy roads and entered the intersection. Picotte attempted to avoid Harsvick’s vehicle but was unable to do so.

The collision resulted in moderate damage to the vehicles. Harsvick sought her own medical attention for minor injuries. No citations were issued in the accident.
