Two juveniles started fire that destroyed garage
Residents were evacuated from their homes after a garage unit fire at K.I. Sawyer Tuesday night.
The fire happened around 6 p.m. near 329 Commando Street.
The unit, which had four garages, was completely destroyed along with its contents.
Troopers from the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police say two juveniles started the fire in one of the garages.
The report will be submitted to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
The West Branch Township Fire Department, Forsyth Township Fire Department, Skandia/West Branch Township EMS, Forsyth EMS and Medi–Ride all assisted at the scene.
There were no injuries.
