Three car accident result of OWI

A three car accident, that sent two people to the hospital in Marquette Wednesday night, has appears to be the result of a driver operating under the influence.

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 41/M-28 and Marquette Drive.

The Marquette City Police Department says a red Buick driven by 73-year-old Tim Larson of Marquette was heading westbound on Marquette Drive, before failing to yield at the intersection of U.S. 41/M-28. The car was then struck by a grey Dodge minivan also traveling northbound, which was unable to stop in time. Larson and the other drivers all sought treatment for minor injuries at Marquette General Hospital. Larson was arrested for Operating While Impaired and lodged at the Marquette County Jail.
