Two injured in Ishpeming Twp. accident
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-car accident Monday afternoon on County Road 587 near U.S. 41 in Ishpeming Township.
The accident happened around 3 p.m. when the driver of a Chevy Beretta was heading north on County Road 587. In an attempt to avoid a southbound vehicle traveling in the middle of the roadway, the driver of the Beretta, 22-year-old Ishpeming resident Austin James Kennedy went into the ditch and hit a large snowbank.
Both Kennedy and his passenger, David Schoewe, 28, also of Ishpeming, were taken to Bell Hospital for treatment.
The Ishpeming Police Department, Bell EMS and the Ishpeming Township Fire/Rescue assisted at the scene.
