Three injured in Iron Co. accident
Two people were injured following a car accident in Iron County Friday afternoon.
Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post of the Michigan State Police say the accident happened just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 2 and Old Beechwood Road in Iron River Township.
Police say a vehicle driven by an eighty-year-old Caspian man pulled out into the path of a vehicle heading eastbound driven by a twenty-nine year-old Caspian woman.
The woman and two passengers were transported to Northstar Health Systems Hospital in Iron River for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The man was not injured in the accident.
Troopers were assisted by the Iron River Police Department.
The accident remains under investigation.
