Two injured after two car accident
NEGAUNEE TWP. — One man was taken to the hospital after a two car accident this morning.
Michigan State Police Troopers from the Negaunee Post were called to the area of US-41 and Pond Road in Negaunee Township. According to troopers, Peter Comment, 38, of Marquette was traveling westbound on US-41 in a 2006 Chevy Malibu when he left the roadway. He crossed the median and entered the eastbound lanes.
Paul Wolfson, 67, of Ishpeming was driving a 2005 BMW in the eastbound lanes and tried to avoid colliding with Comment, but was unable to.
Wolfson complained of minor injuries, but sought his own treatment. Comment was Transported to UP Health System Marquette for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation. Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Negaunee Township First Responders, Negaunee Township Fire and Rescue, Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, and UP Health System Marquette EMS.
