Two children injured following traffic crash
Two children were sent to the hospital Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident in Marquette County.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident at 2:30 p.m. in front of the Kountry Korner convenience store on M-35 in Gwinn.
According to police a 1997 Ford pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old Sawyer man was heading southbound when it turned left into the path of a 2003 Dodge Stratus. A 36-year-old Gwinn woman who had her four children in the car was driving the Stratus, which was traveling northbound.
Two children sitting in the backseat of the car were taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Forsyth Township Fire and EMS along with MediRide EMS assisted at the scene.
