Two car Crystal Falls Township accident sends 93-year-old to hospital
A 93-year-old woman is recovering from non-life threatening injuries sustained during a two car accident in Crystal Falls Township Tuesday evening.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 6:08 p.m. at the intersection of Highway U.S. 2 and Idlewild Road. Police say 93-year-old Edna McCreary of Crystall Falls was attempting to make a left hand turn from U.S. 2 onto Idlewild Road when she pulled out into the path of 21-year-old Richard Anderson Jr. of Alpha. McCreary was transported to North Star Hospital for treatment, while Anderson refused medical attention after being evaluated by North Star EMS.
There’s no word as to who was at fault or if any tickets were issued.
Iron County Deputies were assisted on scene by Troopers from the Michigan State Police and the Crystal Falls Fire Department.
