Two car accident in Iron Mountain
Two people suffered minor injuries after a two car accident in Iron Mountain Tuesday afternoon.
The Iron Mountain Police Department say the accident happened at the intersection of Carpenter Avenue and West C Street at 1:03 p.m. An SUV driven by a 76-year-old Marquette woman was driving westbound on C Street when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of C Street and Carpenter Avenue.
The SUV struck a pick-up truck driven by a 23-year-old Kingsford woman, who was southbound on Carpenter Avenue.
The Iron Mountain Fire Department was called to the accident to respond to a fluid clean up.
Both drivers complained of minor injuries, but declined treatment at the scene.
The Iron Mountain Police Department was assisted by Beacon Ambulance.
