Two arrested on drug charges in Gogebic Co.

Two Hurley, Wisconsin residents were arrested on multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in Gogebic County late Thursday night.

Troopers from the Wakefield Post of the Michigan State Police stopped a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman on North Star Road near Lake Road in Ironwood Township for a traffic violation.

Troopers found several illegal drugs in the vehicle, including meth lab components.

The man, who was driving the vehicle, is charged with Possession of Meth, Manufacture of meth, Possession of Marijuana, and Operating Under the Influence of Drugs.

The woman is charged with Possession of Meth and Manufacture of Meth.

Both suspects are lodged in the Gogebic County Jail, and are expected to be arraigned Friday.

Troopers were assisted by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.
