Trials sets for men arrested on firearms charges
Two men arrested in the western U.P. on firearms charges are heading to trial.
Chris Worachek, 34, and Andre Jones, 33, both pled not guilty to felony firearms possession.
Worachek’s attorney tried to challenge the search warrant used in Worachek’s arrest, but lost the challenge at a motions hearing Wednesday.
Jones will be headed to trial in December. Worachek’s trial date is set for February 2014.
The men were arrested in July in Matchwood Township after the Troopers from the Wakefield Post of the Michigan State Police were investigating breaking and enterings.
