Trial set for man involved in marijuana bust
A Keweenaw County man will be going to trial on charges related to a marijuana bust at his home.
Thomas Ornelas, 63, of Eagle Harbor Township had a hearing Monday in Keweenaw County Circuit Court.
A pretrial is set for December, and a trial is scheduled for January 2014.
Ornelas pled not guilty to three charges: manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, a firearms charge, and maintaining a drug house.
Police searched his home in August and said they found about 15 pounds of marijuana, more than thirty plans, and growing equipment.
