Trial scheduled for man involved in fatal truck v. motorcycle accident
An Ishpeming man will go to trial this fall in connection with an accident in which two motorcyclists died.
Raymond Anderson, 19, is scheduled for a jury trial October 15 in Marquette County Circuit Court. He is charged with two counts of moving violation, causing death. Each count is a one-year misdemeanor.
The accident happened June 5. The Ishpeming Police accuse Anderson of turning left from Lakeshore Drive onto U.S. 41 in a Ryder truck, into the path of a motorcycle that had the right of way.
Gary Kappler, 64, of Ahmeek and Diane Palosaari, 52, of Mohawk were on the motorcycle. They both died from their injuries.
Anderson is free after posting $500 bond.
