Three vehicle accident in Houghton
The Houghton Police Department is continuing to investigate a three car accident involving injuries on Sharon Avenue and M-26 Wednesday. It happened at 5:15 pm.
Police say a vehicle driven by 25 year old Jeffrey Redd of Hancock was traveling north on M-26 approaching the intersection with Sharon Avenue. Redd was unable to stop his vehicle for the red traffic light and entered the intersection. Redd’s vehicle hit a vehicle driven by 55 year old Francis McMahon of Chassell. McMahon’s vehicle then struck a vehicle driven by 26 year old Ashley Dennis of Hancock.
The Houghton Police Department was assisted at the scene by Michigan Tech Public Safety, Houghton and Huron Fire Departments, and Mercy Ambulance.
