Three taken to hospital after Ish. Twp. accident
Three people were taken to the hospital after a multiple vehicle accident in Ishpeming Township Thursday night.
The accident happened just after 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 41 and North Lake Drive.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police at the Negaunee Post say a black Pontiac traveling on US 41 failed to yield to westbound traffic.
A Jeep Grand Cherokee hit the Pontiac, causing the Pontiac hit a Ford truck. Three people in the Pontiac were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the Jeep also suffered minor injuries.
The Ishpeming Police Department, Ishpeming Township Fire Department and Bell Hospital EMS all assisted at the scene.
