Three people arrested in drug investigation

UPDATE — 5:00 FEBRUARY 12, 2012

The names of those arrested arrested in the drug bust have been released.

Dylan Robert Smith, 27, of Bessemer has been charged with to felony counts of delivery or manufacture of methamphetamine. That felony is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. Smith is being held on a 10% of $50,000 bond.

Michael Scott Johnson, 21, of Ramsay, Michigan has be charged with four felony counts. That includes two counts of assaulting, resisting, or obstructing a police officer, which is punishable by up to 2 years in prison and $2,000 fines. He faces one count of delivery or manufacture of methamphetamine and another charge of delivery or manufacture of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic, less than 50 grams. The last charge is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. Johnson’s bond is set at $110,000 cash.

Stephanie Junttii, 22, of L’Anse has been charged with two felony counts, including delivery or manufacture of methamphetamine and delivery or manufacture of cocaine, heroine or another narcotic, less than 50 grams. Junttii’s bond was set at 10% of $100,000.

BESSEMER — A drug investigation has led to the arrest of three people.

Officials from the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team say a search warrant on Porter Street in Bessemer led to the arrest of two men and one woman.

Charges include delivery and possession with intent to deliver both heroin and meth.

Police say the matter is still under investigation. Names are currently being withheld pending arraignment.
