Three moose calves spotted on Isle Royale
ISLE ROYAL — The Facebook Page Wolves and Moose of Isle Royale shared this photo today of a moose cow with three baby calves.
The calves were recorded with an automatic camera on the island.
“It is unknown if the cow moose gave birth to three calves (can happen, but very rare), or if she adopted a calf born to another moose (can happen, but very rare).”
Admins for the Facebook page say they will have a video posted of these moose after getting through some technical hurdles, so watch for an update.
