Three injured in Delta County crash
RAPID RIVER — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Delta County Sunday night.
Deputies from the Delta County Sheriff’s Office say the crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on County 513 T Road near the Little Bay de Noc Campground. 85-year-old Orville Pederson of Rapid River crossed the center line and collided with a car driven by 69-year-old David Hanes, also of Rapid River.
Pederson was airlifted to UP Health System – Marquette. Hanes and a passenger were sent to OSF St. Francis Hospital. Police say Pederson and the passenger both remain hospitalized. The accident is still under investigation.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police, Rampart EMS, Masonville Fire and EMS, Valley Med Flight, and TKL Towing.
