MARQUETTE — Restaurant Week in Marquette is in full swing!
One of the great restaurants featured in the line–up is the Vierling. This week, the Vierling will be featuring pizza, salad and pints. They added a pizza oven in the past year, and wanted to showcase some new recipes. But, that doesn’t mean they’re forgetting about the old favorites, like their famous whitefish.
“It’s a wild caught fish that comes right off the dock which is a block away, because we overlook the lower harbor. We’ve actually had the Food Network call us the other day and they wanted to know about the whitefish bites, which is a hand battered small white–fish piece that you use as an appetizer, and our blueberry beer, which we’re really famous for,” said Terry Doyle, Owner and Operator of the Vierling.
The blueberry wheat beer is brewed right in the restaurant. But, if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, there are nine other hand–crafted beers on tap in the restaurant.
There are seventeen restaurants participating in restaurant week, which runs through March 15th.
