Teens captured by police after a short vehicle pursuit

MARQUETTE — Three juveniles are in trouble with the law after police say the trio stole gas from a gas station.

At 11:00 p.m. Thursday, the Marquette City Police Department were alerted to the Holiday Gas Station in Marquette about a car that left the station without paying for gas. Officers identified the vehicle a short time later and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The vehicle in question then led police on a short pursuit, before losing control and going off the road. Officers were able to apprehend all three suspects in the vehicle.

Police later determined that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Marquette Township. One of the juveniles was reported as a runaway. The other two juveniles were taken to the Marquette County Youth Home.

Charges from the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office are pending.
