GREEN BAY, Wis. – Sam Hoyt<http://www.michigantechhuskies.com/sports/wbkb/2012-13/bios/hoyt%20sam00.html> scored a team-high 18 points but it wasn’t enough for Michigan Tech who fell at NCAA Div. I Green Bay 75-36 in an exhibition game Saturday (Nov. 3). Hoyt shot 6-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-7 from deep, and grabbed six rebounds.
“We expected some things, but we didn’t expect so many turnovers,” said head coach Kim Cameron on the team’s 31 turnovers. “We never had control of the game. We couldn’t string possessions together.”
Green Bay capitalized by scoring 42 points off turnovers compared to just seven by Tech.
The Huskies struggled in the first half scoring 12 points and shooting 21-percent (4-19). Tech rebounded in the second half scoring 24 points and shooting 39-percent.
