Chief Greg Zyburt says the people of the U.P. are fortunate to have the sort of law enforcement cooperation evident in this case.
He says if you read local blog posts, you’ll get the idea that law enforcement agencies in Marquette County don’t know what they’re doing, but the chief says this case demonstrates that if you commit this type of crime in the area, you will be caught and prosecuted.
More than a dozen local, state and federal law enforcement agencies have participated in the ongoing investigation.
