Tap Takeover to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters

GWINN — Charitable donations often wind down after the holiday season, but there are lots of non-profits that need help year around.

That’s why the Up North Lodge in Gwinn is hosting a Tap Takeover in partnership with Upper Hand Brewery to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters. They’ll be taking over six of the fifteen taps at the bar, which is perfect timing if you’re a little sick of your new years resolutions.

“We’re kind of celebrating in honor of National Ditch Your Resolution Day. We’re encouraging you to please do so! I know you promised to quit drinking…we don’t want you to do that! You want to lose weight? We have a really delicious sampler platter that will help you completely crush these resolutions,” said Anna Dravland, the general manager at the Up North Lodge, “It’s a fun thing to do, it’s an amazing way to support your community as well as have a little fun.”

There will be a 50/50 drawing as well as a raffle and the proceeds will go directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters. The event starts at noon on Sunday and goes till eight. For more information, follow this link.
