Swine Flu Vaccine Recalls

New discoveries lead to recalls of swine flu vaccine in more than half the counties in Michigan.

4 batches of H1N1 vaccine are being recalled.

Fred Benzie of the Marquette County Health Department says it’s not safety-related — it’s because the vaccine wasn’t potent enough to do the job.

4 of the 38 counties that got the recalled vaccine are in the U.P. — Delta, Menominee, Schoolcraft and Mackinac Counties.

The Marquette County Health Department is still going ahead with tomorrow’s flu shot clinic at the Superior Dome from noon to 7.

It’s open to the general public, and you don’t need an appointment.
