The Kingsford man accused of the Menominee River swimmer shootings is expected to drop his insanity plea next week.

That’s according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

38-year-old Scott Johnson has a hearing next Thursday.

All 3 teens who died at the East Kingsford Train Bridge July 31st were from the U.P. side of the state line.

They were 17-year-old Tiffany Pohlson of Norway, along with 18-year-old Anthony Spigarelli and 19-year-old Bryan Mort, both from Iron Mountain.

20-year-old Daniel Gordon of Kingsford was wounded in the attack.

Johnson also faces 6 counts of attempted 1st-degree intentional homicide with a dangerous weapon, and 1 count of 2nd-degree sexual assault.
