The man arrested in connection with a break-in at an area school has been arraigned.

Thirty-six year old Jeffery Fisk is charged with one charge of breaking and entering, which is a felony. Fisk is accused of attempting to break-in to Vandenboom school in Marquette early Sunday morning.

Fisk is due back in Marquette County District Court for a preliminary exam on May 3rd.


MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — One man was arrested in connection with a break-in at the Vandenboom school in Marquette early Sunday morning.

According to Michigan State Police troopers, at around 3:15 A.M, Central Dispatch was notified that an alarm was activated at the school. Marquette City Police and NMU Public Safety were dispatched to the scene immediately. Upon arrival, an adult male was found with burglary tools near an open window.

The man was taken into custody without incident. He is lodged at the Marquette County Jail. The name of the suspect will be released after his arraignment.

Police say the investigation is still active at this time.
