Suspect Sought in Wal-Mart Larceny

The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect involved in a larceny of cash from a Wal-Mart customer in Marquette Township.

The victim was in the bottle and can return area of Wal-Mart Friday evening, September 2, about 5:40 p.m. when the suspect took the customers cart which contained the wallet. The in-store video surveillance system recorded the suspect taking the cart and removing the wallet. After the suspect walked throughout the store, and entered the men’s restroom he returned the wallet to customer service, but the cash was missing.

The suspect appears to be a white male, thin build, mid 20’s to early 30’s, with short or no hair. There is a tattoo visible on his upper right arm and another possibly on his left upper arm.

Anyone having information as to the possible identity of the suspect is asked to please contact Deputy Larson at 225-8435.
