Suspect in largest Marquette County meth bust pleads guilty

An Ishpeming woman will be sentenced in February after pleading guilty in a meth lab case.

Jessondra Pennala, 37, has admitted to meth possession as part of a plea agreement with the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office. Her original charges, two counts of operating or maintaining a meth lab in the presence of a minor, have been dismissed.

Pennala will be sentenced on February 27th.

She and John Heribacka, 40, of Ishpeming, were arrested in October after drug busts at 260 Marble Street and 213 Oak Street.

At the time, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team said that the Oak Street bust was the largest meth–related bust in Marquette County history.

Heribacka has a final pretrial on his meth lab charges scheduled for March 6th.
