HANCOCK — A Hancock woman is charged with stabbing a man over the weekend.

41-year-old Sarah Youmans appeared in 97th District Court Monday where she was arraigned on a charge of felonious assault with a dangerous weapon. She faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

The Hancock Police Department says Youmans stabbed a 57-year-old man in the left shoulder on Friday morning on Summit Street in Hancock. The victim was taken to U.P. Health-System-Portage where he was treated for his injuries. Youmans was later arrested by Hancock Police.

She is scheduled to have a preliminary exam in two weeks.
