Suspect allegedly steals vehicle, arrested on multiple charges
One person was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle in Escanaba Thursday afternoon.
The Escanaba Department of Public Safety says the incident happened around 1:30 after a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Elmers Country Market.
Police say the vehicle was spotted a short time after in Gladstone by Gladstone Public Safety.
The suspect fled the scene on foot before being arrested by police and lodged in the Delta County Jail.
The suspect is charged with auto theft, OWI, driving while license is suspended and larceny under $200.
