Students tour MGH and learn about health careers
More than 120 students from multiple Marquette Area Public Schools were at Marquette General Hospital Tuesday morning for an educational tour of the health system.
The event is part of Excellence in Education Week. Excellence in Education Week is designed to publicly recognize the outstanding academic achievement of students and excellent performance of educators.
The tour detailed the inner workings of a health system, and helps students learn more about career opportunities in the medical field.
A closer look into occupations such as respiratory therapy and nursing, were also a part of the tour.
The event also featured a luncheon, a keynote speaker, and a presentation of awards for each of the Marquette Area Schools recognized in Excellence in Education Week.
