It’s been a deadly weekend on U.P. roads, with a series of fatal automobile accidents since Friday.

A 22-year-old Houghton man died in a one-vehicle rollover accident early this morning.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says it was Noah Sirdenis.

The accident happened shortly after 12:30 this morning on Coles Creek Road in Stanton Township.

Sirdenis was the only person in the vehicle, and he died at the scene.

Also, another U.P. motorcycle–car accident has resulted in a fatality.

53-year-old Chris Skrzyniarz of Mastodon Township died on M-69 in Crystal Falls, just west of Hope Mine Road, at about 7:30 Central time last night.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Department says 89–year old Harold Foucault tried to turn into his driveway and hit the Skrzyniarz’s motorcycle head-on.

Skrzyniarz died at the scene.

His wife, 48 year old Sheri Skrzyniarz, was taken to Northstar Health System in Iron River and was later transferred to Marquette General.

Foucault was treated at the scene.

Both those accidents is still under investigation.

Finally, 70-year-old Winifred Vassar of Iron River died, and several people were hurt, in a two-vehicle accident in Iron River Township Saturday.

Police say she drove her car onto US-2 into the path of an oncoming minivan just after 12:30 pm Central time.

Vassar died at Northstar Health System.
