Streets closed for U.P. 200 and Midnight Run

MARQUETTE — A number of streets in the City of Marquette are being closed for the U.P. 200 and Midnight Run Dog Sled Races.

The streets listed below will be closed to motor vehicles at the designated times:

Thursday, February 11th
10:30 p.m. – Washington Street from Front Street to Lakeshore Boulevard

Friday, February 12th
7:00 a.m. – Washington Street from Front Street to Fifth Street
9:00 a.m. – Fourth Street from Spring Street to Bluff Street
1:00 p.m. – Lakeshore Boulevard from Mattson Park to Baraga Avenue
5:00 p.m. – Lakeshore Boulevard from Baraga Avenue to US-41
5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. – Northbound lane of South Lake Street from U.S. 41 to Hampton Street
5:15 p.m. – Front Street from Baraga Avenue to Bluff Street
5:45 p.m. – Third Street from Spring Street to Bluff Street

Travelers will need to follow the detour route along Baraga Avenue, Fifth Street, and Bluff Street. Unless otherwise noted, the closures listed above will be effective until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13th. Pedestrians will still be allowed to access all of the routes.
