MARQUETTE — The Marquette man involved in a standoff incident last week has been arrested.

The Marquette City Police Department arrested Christian Michael Nutini, 28, on a two-count warrant stemming from the incident on Tuesday, when an allegedly suicidal Nutini discharged a firearm in his home on the 2300 block of Presque Isle Avenue. Police were able to end the standoff peacefully about 5 hours later.

Nutini was arrested for one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of discharging a firearm in or at a building. The first charge is a felony punishable by up to four years imprisonment, and the second is punishable by up to ten years.

Nutini is lodged at the Marquette County Jail pending his arraignment. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash for each count.
