Softball All-Stars put on a show in Escanaba

The top softball players in the Upper Peninsula gathered in Escanaba for the U.P. Softball All-Star Games. The players were divided into two teams: North vs. South.

The South Team won both games, 2-1 and 12-9. In the first game, Savannah Stenlund of Rapid River had the game winning, walk-off sacrifice fly that scored Teslyn Tyner of Superior Central.

Molly Swajanen of Superior Central won the home run derby. Her teammate at SC, Vanessa Freberg, was named the MVP of the South Team. Rosalie Anderson of Negaunee was named the North Team MVP.
