Snyder Still Leads Governor’s Race By Double Digits

Republican Rick Snyder remains in the lead in the race for Michigan’s next governor.

A state poll out today shows Democratic candidate Virg Bernero still trailing Snyder by double digits.

The Rossman Group of Lansing and Team Telcom took the survey of 400 likely voters on Monday.

49.5% of those polled would vote for Snyder, with 35.8% supporting Bernero and 14.8% undecided.

Democratic candidates for other statewide offices also have to close gaps to be competitive on November 2nd.

GOP Secretary of State candidate Ruth Johnson got the vote of 43% of those surveyed, compared to 31.5% for Democrat Jocelyn Benson, but 25.5% were undecided.

In the Attorney General race, Republican Bill Schuette received support from 45% of those surveyed. Democrat David Leyton had 31.5%, with 23.5%.
