Snyder & Bernero Agree to Debate

It took quite a while.

But the major party nominees for governor have finally agreed to have one debate.

The Associated Press says Republican candidate Rick Snyder and democratic nominee Virg Bernero have agreed to a debate next month.

It’ll be on October 10th in metro Detroit, and it’ll last an hour.

Public TV stations around the state, like Public TV 13 at NMU, will air the debate live.

And commercial stations, like us here at ABC 10, will have the option to do so.

With his double–digit lead in the polls, Snyder may have more to lose than gain from a debate.

But he was taking some criticism for not agreeing to any until now.
