Snowmobile crash victim still critical

A Wisconsin man is still in critical condition after his snowmobile hit a logging truck a week ago in Gogebic County.

57-year-old Jeff Schuelke of Lebanon, Wisconsin was crossing M–28 east of Wakefield when he failed to yield to a westbound logging truck.

Michigan State Police troopers from the Wakefield Post say that Schuelke’s snowmobile ran into the wheels of the truck, and they say he was thrown from the machine.

Schuelke was taken to Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood with head injuries.

He was transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, and he’s listed in critical condition there.

Schuelke was cited for failing to yield, causing an accident.
