LIMESTONE TWP. — Mother Nature returned to the U.P. last night and through the early afternoon hours, dumping a little amount of snow on the ground.

The winter weather caused many roads to be a bit hazardous this morning. Just after 8:30, a pick-up truck lost control on US-41 and ended up off of the road.

In Alger County, Robin McClellan, 53, of Rapid River lost control of his 1998 Toyota Rav4 on US-41 just south of Diffin Road. McClellan’s Toyota rolled over and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

McClellan was transported by Alger County EMS to UP Health System-Marquette. He’s listed in critical condition with a serious head injury.
