Ski lift ticket free with donation to Cheer Club

The Mining Journal Cheer Club and Marquette Mountain are teaming up on a win-win program for skiers and needy area children.   Those who donate a new toy Friday at the ski hill will get a free ski pass for use that day.

To qualify for the free ticket (a $17-$27 value), the value of the toy must be at least $9.99.  Toys have to be new and not gift wrapped.

The ski hill will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday for preseason hours.  The toy-for-a-lift-ticket deal is valid only on Friday, November 30. The 2012-2013 season at Marquette Mountain begins December 17.

Other donations for the Cheer Club can be dropped off until December 14 at The Mining Journal offices in Marquette and Ishpeming, the Marquette and Ishpeming Salvation Army offices, the Marquette Township Hall, ACE Hardware in Gwinn and Bell Hospital in Ishpeming.
