UPDATE: Six arrested after G.I.A.N.T. meth bust

UPDATE — 7:31 a.m. March 14th, 2016 (EDT)

Six individuals were arrested after a search executed by the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team on Thursday. During the search, hazardous materials associated with manufacturing meth were discovered.

22–year–old Colton Rabe and 35–year–old Teela Reese are charged with the same six felony counts. That includes two counts of operating and maintaining a laboratory within 500 feet of a school, along with two counts of operating and maintaining a laboratory involving meth. Bond for Rabe and Reese was set at 200 thousand dollars at ten percent.

The names of the other individuals arrested will be released upon arraignment.


IRONWOOD — On Thursday the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (G.I.A.N.T.) executed a search warrant on Mansfield Street in Ironwood.

During the search, hazardous materials associated with manufacturing methamphetamine were discovered. Six individuals were arrested as a result of the search.

G.I.A.N.T. personnel were assisted with the cleanup by members of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) and the Upper Peninsula Regional Hazardous Materials Team.

The names of the individuals arrested will be released upon arraignment.
