On Saturday, October 22, an Oktoberfest Dance will be held at the

Masonic Center, starting at 7:00 P.M., with dance music provided by

crafts type items, in addition to German style appetizers and non

alcoholic beverages. The cost, which includes the food and beverages, is

$9.00 per person.

The Shriner’s International operate 22 Shriner’s Hospitals for

Children throughout North America, where patients receive expert care

centered around their needs – physical, mental and emotional.

Ahmed Shrine, which includes the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan,

currently has 320 young people from the Upper Peninsula being treated by

the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. As a part of making sure these

young patients get the medical attention they need, the Ahmed Shriner’s

provide assistance for the transportation, meals and housing costs in

getting the patients to the Hospitals for their surgeries and

appointments, and also cover the costs for the aircraft and burns team in

the case of a necessary burns emergency.
