Shooting in Marquette County Investigated
Troopers from the Negaunee Post were dispatched to Marquette General Hospital at 1:30 a.m. Saturday to investigate a male subject who had been brought into the emergency room with a gun shot wound to his abdomen.
The shooting victim was identified as a 38 year-old Marquette man.
Following the investigation, it was determined the shooting occurred at a camp on Brown Deer Road in Powell Township.
The shooting appears to be accidental in nature and the victim remains hospitalized at Marquette General Hospital.
Names are being withheld pending further investigation
