Sentinels & Storm both win at Nationals

U.P. Power was on full display on Wednesday in Amherst, NY. Two U.P. girls hockey teams played their first games at their respective National Tournaments.

The Marquette Sentinels 16U hockey team defeated Potsdam, 5-2. Allison Carlson of Negaunee had 4 goals and 1 assists to lead the Sentinels. Marquette’s next game is on Thursday at 2:55 p.m. against Princeton.

The Keweenaw Storm 19U hockey team shutout the Chazy Flyers, 4-0. Stephanie King stopped 24 shots between the pipes for the Storm. The girls from the Copper Country will face-off against the Princeton 19U team on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
