Security breach in popular fast food chain

MARQUETTE– The Wendy’s popular fast food chain is dealing with a security breach.

Over one thousand Wendy’s locations nationwide were hit by a cyber attack. According to the Detroit Free Press, 50 different Wendy’s in Michigan were affected by the security breach. The specific stores that were hit lost credit card data between December 2nd and June 8th.

Here in the Upper Peninsula, the Sault Ste. Marie outlet is considered to be one of the affected locations. The other Wendy’s in Escanaba, Iron Mountain and Marquette were not affected by the data breach.
