Sawyer B&E suspect apprehended

One suspect is in custody in Marquette County following an early morning arrest for a possible breaking and entering at a residence on Sawyer.

Officers from the Forsyth Township Police Department were dispatched at 3:30 a.m. to a possible break in.

When officers arrived they were able to locate the suspect.

Upon arresting the subject, police discovered that the suspect was in possession of controlled substances: oxycodone and approximately two pounds of marijuana.

No names have been released at this time; the suspect is lodged in the Marquette County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.

The incident has been turned over to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s office.

The Michigan State Police Negaunee Post and Canine Unit assisted Forsyth Police.

The case is still under investigation.
